Honda Civic Hybrid wins 2026 Edmunds Top Rated Award

I know, I KNOW….hold your applause.

Who could have expected the 2026 Honda Civic hybrid to come out and do it again…..and again….and again. We’re talking four years straight for this generation Civic to have been awarded the Edmunds Top Rated honors.

Edmunds praised the 2026 Civic Hybrid for its sharp design, class-leading safety performance, confident handling, and genuinely fun-to-drive personality.

Under the hood is Honda’s 4th-Gen two-motor hybrid system that delivers smooth, responsive power while keeping fuel stops surprisingly infrequent. I gotta say, I really appreciate how Honda nailed the efficiency of this car without feeling too clinical or like a lot of other cars out there tend to feel …dare I say… boring?

What do you think makes a Civic so special?

The Civic continues to be the near-perfect gateway into the Honda brand for first time buyers and longtime loyalists alike, and it remains America’s best-selling compact car since 1973.

Add this latest Top Rated Honor from Edmunds to the list and it’s clear the Civic formula still works.

If you’ve been thinking about going hybrid without giving up the fun part of driving, this may be your sign to come test drive a Civic Hybrid right now. Like right now, right now.

Honda Passport

Big news for busy families and carpool captains alike. Parents.com has named four Honda models to its 2026 Best Family Cars list, giving Honda five total awards this year—more than any other brand.

Even more impressive? Honda has earned 69 Best Family Cars trophies since the awards began in 2002. Talk about a dynasty!

  1. Honda Accord wins ‘Best Family Sedan for Families

  2. Honda HR-V wins ‘Best Compact SUV’ and ‘Best Value SUV for Families

  3. Honda Passport wins ‘Best Mid-Size 5-Passenger SUV for Families

  4. Honda Odyssey wins ‘Best 3-Row Minivan for Families

Honda Accord

So how did they decide these awards? A panel of experts test-drove more than 150 vehicles, digging into the stuff that actually matters to families like

  • Rear-seat space

  • Third-Row comfortability (when applicable)

  • Standard Safety Tech

  • LATCH Access

  • Ease of Car seat installation

  • Everyday Usability

So with four vehicles listed by Parents.com, I think it’s safe to say Honda aced this one!
