Honda Passport TrailSport
Let’s be completely honest: Handing the keys over to your teenager for the first time is a terrifying rite of passage.
As a parent, your brain instantly fills with worst-case scenarios of distracted driving, sudden lane changes, and the general chaos of being near I-4. shudders
You want your child in a literal tank. They want something that looks cool.
Fortunately for us, the safety experts over at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) just weighed in to give us all some concrete data.
And guess what?
Honda is the Gold Standard! If you’re looking to put your young driver in something modern with incredible visibility and safety tech, look no further than the 2026 Honda Passport, the 2026 Honda Civic, and 2026 Honda Accord.
The Passport was officially recommended as a top new vehicle choice, earning the pinnacle TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the IIHS and a "Safety Verdict of Best" from Consumer Reports. It also looks really frikkin’ tough and cool.

Honda Civic
They say the company you keep says a lot about who you are.
Well, I have two cousins with Honda Civics. My brother in law has owned four Honda Civics. And one of my best friends drives a Honda Accord turbo.
So I guess I’m a Honda lifer.
Of course, this is thanks in large part to Honda Sensing®, a safety suite of technology that was introduced back in 2014. After some years, Honda made the move to push for this technology as Standard in most of their models.
And now? We have over 10 million Honda vehicles in U.S. roads equipped with this advanced safety tech, acting like an invisible co-pilot for young drivers still learning. I can’t think of a better option for teenage drivers.
Whether you have a graduate hitting the road for college this summer or a brand-new permit holder in the house, come check out top-rated Hondas recommended for safety right here!

Be Honest...what's your car really used for the most? |
Built Right Here. Proudly American Cars.

One of Honda’s American Assembly Plants.
Hey, we just talked a lot about safety and protecting our children so doesn’t it warm your heart to know that these same machines you know and love were assembled in our own backyards? I know, mine does.
While a lot of brands may talk a big game about supporting the American industry and having a local footprint, Honda has actually put in the hard work to make that true.
In fact, nearly 99% of all Honda vehicles sold in the U.S. were manufactured right here in North America last year. On top of that, a whopping 60% of those cars were built directly in USA including Honda plants in Ohio, Alabama, and Indiana.
When you buy one of America’s most popular SUVs like the Honda CR-V or you get into an Accord, you aren’t just getting into an award-winning vehicle, you’re driving off in a high-quality machine professionally put together in America.
Now THAT is something to be proud of right there.
Honda committing to even more Hybrid vehicles!

Honda Hybrid Sedan Prototype
For the last few years, the entire automotive industry has been trying to convince everyone that their next car HAS to be a full EV.
But let’s be honest, not EVERYONE is ready to worry about charging stations or plug-in logistics just to run errands around Orlando.
Thankfully, Honda is listening to the American consumer!
Earlier this month, Honda’s CEO officially announced a major shift in strategy: Honda will be doubling down on Hybrid technology. In fact, Honda plans to launch 15 next-gen Hybrid models by 2030, with North America leading the charge.
And to leave a lasting impression, Honda pulled the sheet off a sleek new Honda Hybrid Sedan Prototype which is a quite a stunner.

Honda is engineering a brand-new, advanced two-motor hybrid system (similar to current Hybrids) on a fresh new platform with the goal of massively improving fuel economy. They are pursuing a 10% increase which would indeed be a huge deal.
Even better? Every single Honda assembly plant in the USA is being upgraded right now to ensure they can scale up hybrid production to meet local demand.
Nothin’ like a home-cooked meal!
The message is clear: the Gas engine is not going anywhere. If you’re ready to see why millions of drivers are making the switch to a Hybrid, come explore our current hybrid lineup at Holler Honda today!
