2027 Honda Civic is getting new tech and trims!

2027 Honda Civic Sedan Sport-L
Well, would you look at that? America’s Best-Selling Compact Car just found a way to level up again.
If you thought the Honda Civic couldn't pack in any more value, 2027 is here to prove you wrong. The 2027 Honda Civic Sedan and Hatchback are starting to touch down at Holler Honda, and Honda is celebrating with two major upgrades across the lineup.
First up is the all-new Civic Sport-L (arriving by the end of the year). If you love the go-getter attitude of the Civic Sport models, but crave the refined, upscale cabin of the Hybrid setup, the Sport-L was built for you.
You get all the fixings you could ever want out of a Civic, bringing leather seating, heated power front seats, and dual-zone climate control to the non-hybrid Civic for the first time EVER!

2027 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring Hybrid
Plus, the 2027 Civic Sport Touring Hybrid now comes equipped with Honda S+ Shift. If you’ve read some of our newsletters before, then you know this is the thrilling drive mode pioneered by the all-new Honda Prelude revival.
With the push of a button, it simulates crisp performance gear shifts, holds gears through corners, and delivers rev-matched downshifts with more sound coming from the engine.
Leave it to Honda to take a car that was already dominating its class and casually hand it a luxury interior and a sports-coupe drive mode.
The 2027 models will begin arriving at our lot with some trims due by end of year.
Take a peek at what just landed below, or swing by Classic Honda and grab the keys for a test drive.

30th Anniversary Honda Civic Type R gets New Styling

2027 Honda Civic Type R
Thirty years ago, way back in 1997, Honda put a red badge on a stripped-down, high-revving Civic hatchback in Japan and the rest was history.
Six generations later, the Honda Civic Type R is officially turning 30. And instead of throwing it a quiet birthday party with a cake, Honda decided to celebrate with a refreshed look for the 2027 Civic Type R, and those start arriving at the lot this month!
"The legendary Civic Type R has embodied the Honda challenging spirit for three decades, leveraging our deep roots in motorsports with racetrack-proven engineering that maximizes performance without sacrificing Type R's civilized road manners."
First, let’s get the best news out of the way. Yes, it is still exclusively a 6-speed manual.
In an era where almost every rival hot hatch has gone automatic-only, the Type R refuses to give up.
And we shouldn’t give up either.

2027 Honda Civic Type R
Under the hood is that glorious 315-Horsepower turbocharged K20C Engine, although eagle-eyed enthusiasts may spot the engine’s “beauty cover” has been redesigned to look like iconic Type R legends.
Instead of drastically re-engineering the current winning formula, Honda decided to make the 2027 Type R sharper, cooler, and noticeable nicer to live with every day.
The suspension has been retuned for +R Mode to keep the car even flatter through corners. They’ve also stiffened up the brake pedal linkage for a more direct feel.
Yeah, yeah, but what about stuff I care about? Well how about this one? For the first time ever in a Civic Type R, you get HEATED SEATS!
As you know, Type R allocations never sit still for long. Keep an eye on our incoming inventory below, or reach out to our team at Classic Honda to find out when our first 2027 Type R hits the showroom floor!
Honda Racing celebrates ‘241.428’ Docuseries
Back in 2000, racing icon Gil de Ferran strapped into a Honda-powered Indy car at California Speedway and clocked an average lap speed of 241.428 mph.
More than a quarter-century later, that number remains the fastest official closed-course lap speed in racing history, unbeaten by Formula 1, NASCAR, and even modern IndyCar.
To honor de Ferran, who passed away in late 2023, Honda Racing Corporate just dropped a four-part docuseries titled “241.428” on the HRC US Youtube channel. Check it out!
