In Memoriam: Honda Civic Si (For now)
Take a deep breath, Honda fans: the Civic Si isn’t dead. It’s just taking a well-deserved power nap.
Honda recently confirmed that production on the iconic Civic Si will pause at the end of the 2026 model year. But before anyone starts mourning the manual transmission, we have a quote from Honda corporate!
"The Honda Civic Si has set the standard for affordable performance for four decades, and the all-new next-generation Civic Si will carry that tradition forward for enthusiast drivers when it returns to the Honda lineup."
In other words, the Civic Si is just taking another sabbatical.
If you know your Honda history, then you know this has happened enough for it to be a pattern.
The Civic Si took a break back in 1988, from 1996 to 1998, and again in 2021; and every single time, it returned faster and sharper than ever sporting the latest Honda tech of its era.
So hey, if you want to get behind the wheel of the critically acclaimed 11th-generation Civic Si, the clock is officially ticking.
Honda expects remaining dealer inventory to dry up by early 2027, leaving a gap before the next-gen arrives.
Once word gets out, the Si may not be around for long.

Honda Battles Back to Podium Finish in Virginia Grand Prix
#5 Honda Civic FL5 TCR
Starting at the back of a race usually spells trouble unless you happen to be behind the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R TCR (or you’re playing Mario Kart).
At the IMSA Virginia is for Racing Lovers Grand Prix this past weekend, Honda teams turned early setbacks into an overtaking masterclass at VIRginia International Raceway.
Seen above: The Civic Type R TCR spent two grueling hours in brutal heat methodically slicing through the entire field. With a clutch pass (hah clutch; get it?) in the final 15 minutes, Honda pulled off a dramatic 3rd-place finish!
Personally, we love the IMSA streetcar series because these are practically the same Civics we sell in our showroom except these have some extra aerodynamics and behind-the-scenes work done, but at its core: it’s a Civic Type R.

Honda confirms 3rd-Gen Ridgeline Pickup Redesign in 2 Years
3rd-Gen Ridgeline teaser
Honda announced that an all-new, third-generation Ridgeline is currently in development and expected to arrive in the next two years with bolder styling and upgraded tech.
But there’s an important development for anyone shopping today: Honda is pausing production of the 2026 Ridgeline later this year to retool the assembly lines.
Why that matters: Once current factory allocations wrap up, remaining 2026 inventory will be the last available until the next-gen arrives. If you’ve been thinking about upgrading to the current Ridgeline’s class-exclusive lockable bed storage, flat trunk floor, and everyday daily-driver comfort, you won’t want to wait until the lots clear out.
