Since 1973, Honda has sold over 12 million Civics, making the Honda Civic one of the top three best-selling cars in America. It’s no surprise that the latest 2025 Hybrid model has already won an award for it’s two-motor hybrid system.
The Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems award has been recognizing powertrain teams since 1995. Recipients are awarded according to their scores calculated on horsepower, toque, NVH management, observed fuel economy, and new technology.

The Honda Civic has evolved and adapted over the years, and those changes have even been documented in the gaming world. Check out this video on the Evolution of the Honda Civic in Gran Turismo ⬇️
